Leak test of castings
Before cast housing parts can be installed, it must be ensured that they do not have any porous areas or even cracks in the material. A defective part installed in series could cause immense costs.
For this reason, for example, transmission housings or cylinder heads from engine construction, as well as steering gear housings are first checked for leaks.
For our clients we designed devices for leak testing with air and water. Similar to assembly fixtures, the systems usually have to accommodate different variants of the components and - in this case now - have them tested.
